I have been visiting the Roaring Fork Valley for the past 20 years. The first 10 were mostly for skiing and the last 10 were definetely for the summers....and I must add the summers are what keep me here.

All of these activities are described in more detail below. I have put this together so you can get a fun "jump" start on planning your summer fun while staying in the Roaring Fork Valley and especially while waking up and enjoying my Panoramic Mountain Views Rental Cabin.
Aspen and Snowmass Mountains

Summer gondola rides on both Snowmass and Aspen Mountain offer up access to miles of trails and new experiences. Explore hiking and biking terrain for every level, from first-timer to expert. Discover expansive views of the Maroon Bells, Roaring Fork Valley and Elk Mountains. Take in free, live outdoor music all summer long. Kids will love Camp Aspen/Snowmass, with mountainboarding, skateboarding, paintball and loads of other activities for ages 1 and up, sure to leave them tired & happy. Fuel up in Snowmass at Elk Camp Café or Sneaky's Tavern, or in Aspen at the Sundeck or Ajax Tavern. |
Fireworks Extravaganza over Aspen Mountain
Aspen celebrates Independence Day with a whimsical twist. Approximately 20,000 local residents and visitors come together to honor the nation's birthday in true American style. Festivities include a parade, U.S. Airforce jet flyby, concerts, a kid's bicycle rodeo, and spectacular fireworks on Aspen Golf Course. Fireworks Extravaganza at 9:15PM
Snowmass shows its patriotic colors with this free holiday extravaganza to entertain the whole family. This weekend includes live music on Fanny Hill, Movies and a whole lot more. Come for the weekend and explore all the on-mountain fun, plus golf, disc golf, hiking, biking trails, and western adventure that awaits July 4th revelers.

Free Thursday Concerts in Snowmass
SNOWMASS
Snowmass Thursday Night Summer of FREE Music Series
Thursdays, July 1 - August 19
Time: 6 p.m.
Start the evening with live music in base village from 4 to 6 p.m. Then head to Fanny Hill at 6 p.m. to check out one of the most popular events in the valley! Every Thursday evening thousands of locals and visitors gather at the base of Fanny Hill for FREE open-air concerts featuring some of the best rock, reggae and R&B in the country. Bring along a blanket or low lawn chair and a picnic dinner for the ultimate al fresco experience (bringing your own alcohol is prohibited, however beer and wine are for sale on site).  | Aspen Center for Environmental Studies
Join naturalists from the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) for a FREE nature hike or walk at Snowmass or Aspen Mountain. Naturalists will share tips on wildflowers, tracking animals, observing birds and understanding the sub-alpine community.
